GB Garden Design is a design studio based in bayside Melbourne. Each project is approached differently, as no two clients, gardens or requests are the same. Ultimately though, the end goal is to create a timeless and aesthetically pleasing space that complements the surroundings and architecture. GB’s designs are functional and relevant to the site conditions of each client’s request, enhancing the value of the property and experience of the outdoors immeasurably.

PROFILE

GB Garden Design is Georgie Bean. Georgie has a background in working on a variety of design and culture savvy magazines within Australia and abroad. This was back before instagram and Pinterest were born, but always within an editorial context. Having worked for publications such as Vogue Living and Wallpaper* magazine, Georgie moved across, leaving the glam world of magazines to renovate and style residential projects. With a love for tiles, plants and sculpture she created a side hustle of tiled tables to enhance several of her residential projects, which eventually led to studying garden design. GB Garden Design draws from a myriad of inspiration, ideas, plants and furnishings, particularly from the Mediterranean where climate conditions are well suited to this style of planting. Recently, Georgie has spent time living in Italy with her husband and youngest daughter, gaining insights and knowledge along the way.
